University of New Mexico RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of New Mexico is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  This program is set up for the RN wishing to complete their BSN. Preference is given to New Mexico residents for admission.

Must Dos: Finish prerequisite classes, apply to the University of New Mexico, and submit nursing school application.

Program Length: Flexible schedule for working students.

Nursing Prerequisites: Analytic Writing, Introduction to Probability & Statistics, and Pathophysiology I/II.  A list of other classes to take during the program can be found here.  Students must complete classes with a minimum prerequisite grades of a C or better.   Students must also have at least 26 transferable credits towards their BSN. 

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.

Application Information: There is a $60 non-refundable fee for School of Nursing application.  Deadlines are June 1st for fall term and November 1st for spring term.  More application information can be found here.  The actual application can be found here

Admission Tests: Students must complete the ACE II exam. This exam gives RNs 34 nursing credit hours towards their BSN.
