Second Degree Accelerated BSN
Basic Information: This program is for students who wish to complete their BSN at an accelerated pace. Students do not need to have completed a bachelor's degree to apply to this program.
Must Dos: Apply to the University of Utah and the College of Nursing. It is recommended to attend an information session before scheduling an appointment with an advisor.
Program Length: 16 months or four semesters straight through.
Prerequisites: Biology*, Anatomy and Physiology*, Elementary Chemistry*, Statistics*, Nutrition, Human Development, Medical Microbiology, and Pathophysiology. Those classes designated with an asterisk must be completed prior to applying to the program. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in all prerequisite courses. Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Admission Tests: For those students who do not speak English as their native language, you must score at least a 50 on the Speaking Proficiency English Assessment Kit (SPEAK) test.
