University of Northern Colorado RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Northern Colorado is located in Greeley, Colorado.  This program is completely online and meant for working ADNs or RN diploma graduates wishing to complete their BSN.  Cohorts begin every fall and spring.  

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Northern Colorado and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program takes 20 months or 5 semesters to complete.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Microbiology, College Research Paper, Nutrition, Human Growth & Development, and Statistics. Students can receive credit for prerequisite courses by taking a challenge exam. More information can be found here about receiving credit for these. Students must also complete the required liberal arts courses as found here.  Students must have an active RN license with 1,000 hours of practice in the last three years. This can be waived if student is a new ADN graduate.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or better.
