University of Nebraska RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Nebraska is located in Omaha, Nebraska. This program only starts once a year in August.  This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN).

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Nebraska and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: There are full-time or part-time options available.  You can choose to take 1-3 courses per semester leading to degree completion in 1-3 years.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Psychology, Sociology, Human Growth & Development, Chemistry, College Algebra, Statistics, Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Ethics, Microbiology, Nutrition, Humanities, Culture OR Race OR Ethnicity Or Gender, Family OR Human Behavior, and Political Science OR Social Organization.  Students must complete these courses with a grade of at least a C or better.  Prerequisite courses are not offered by University of Nebraska Medical Center. They can be taken through the university.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 or better.
