University of Maryland RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Maryland is located in Baltimore, Maryland. Students can complete this program at the Baltimore campus, the Universities at Shady Grove campus, or completely online.  This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN).

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Maryland and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program can be completed in two semesters.  There is a total of 31 nursing credit hours, 59 general education credit hours, and 30 credit hours awarded for having your RN license.

Nursing Prerequisites: A list of all prerequisite courses can be found here under the link labeled "BSN & RN-BSN Prerequisites...".  Students must have a science GPA of at least a 3.0.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0.

Application Information: The application for the College of Nursing can be found here.  Rolling admission starts September 1st for spring admission and February 1st for fall admission.

Admission Tests: Students must complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam.
