Second Degree Accelerated BSN




 

Basic Information: Kent State University is located in Kent, Ohio.  This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to Kent State University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The daytime cohort is four semesters long.  The evening/weekend or university hospital cohorts are both five semesters long. More information about these can be found at the bottom of the Second Degree Accelerated BSN webpage.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Introduction to Organic Chemistry.  These courses must be completed with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.  Students must also complete a minimum of a college-level algebra course with a minimum grade of a C.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
