Idaho State University RN to BSN




 

Basic Information:  Idaho State University is located in Twin Falls, Idaho.  This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN). 

Must Dos: Apply to Idaho State University and the College of Nursing.  Students must make sure they have completed all general education requirements for Idaho State University.

Program Length: It is expected that all students complete their coursework within 24 months of admission.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses that must be completed prior to applying include Medical Terminology and Communication, Biology with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, Chemistry, Psychology, Child Development, and Peoples & Culture.  Courses that must be completed prior to the start of the program include Pathobiology, Introduction to Organic & Biochemistry with Lab, Statistics, Nutrition, Bioethics, and Pharmacology. Students must complete the prerequisite classes with a C or better. 

Prior Classwork Information: Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Application Information: Students must apply by April 30th for fall semester admission and by September 15th for Spring semester admission.
