Second Degree Accelerated BSN

 

Basic Information: Eastern Michigan University is located in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to Eastern Michigan University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program is five to six semesters of study total. Courses start each fall semester.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Quantitative Reasoning, Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry, English Composition, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, "Aging to Infancy," Life Span Human Growth & Development, and Anatomy & Physiology I/II.  Prerequisite courses must be completed with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
